As an engineer, in order to test Narrator with a quicker feedback loop, I want an environment to run Windows Narrator and/or NVDA locally.

Pre-Conditions: - Flexion Gov Azure Account

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Windows Virtual Desktop Accessible by the Flexion Team
  • Creds shared in 1 pass to
  • Git setup with Flexion Github service account
  • Virtual Desktop can run the application locally
    -- [ ] Tools installed
    -- [ ] Env’s setup
  • Narrator and/or NVDA can be used locally

Pain Avoided/Frustration Saved:

  • No longer have to deploy the application and have the USTP team test the application with windows narrator
  • Can be tested on our development machines creating a faster feedback loop

Breadth/Pervasiveness of Problem:

  • Every time we want to test accessibility changes we have to deploy the application to the USTP environment and have one of them test it using windows narrator

Complexity of Problem (Low, Medium, High) and Why it's Complex: - Complexity is: Low-medium

  • Reason why is: Fairly straightforward

Notes: - One option is a Windows Virtual Desktop for Windows Narrator in Flexion Azure
