Should clicking Red X close Tero Subtitler?

If I click on the Red X, I'd rather Tero Subtitler stay open so I can perform another task, such as opening a file.

There is mixed behaviour for Apple applications (some are not recent ones)

• Cinema Tools = stays open
• Contacts = quits
• Dictionary = quits
• DVD Player = quits
• FaceTime = quits
• Game Center = quits
• iBooks = stays open
• Image Capture = quits
• iTunes = stays open
• Mail = stays open
• Maps = stays open
• Notes = quits
• Photo Booth = quits
• Photos = quits
• Preview = stays open
• Reminders = quits
• QuickTime Pro 7 = stays open
• Safari = stays open
• Soundtrack Pro = stays open
• Stickies = stays open
• TextEdit = stays open

I wonder if style guidelines exist on this from Apple. Maybe if it's possible to do more than one function, it stays open?
