Short Description/Observation:
Trading with NPC merchants instantly sells/buys items from the ore pool, similar how Gothic 2 works with gold. In Gothic 1 this causes unlimited ore availability for each merchant and the unique item to item trading-by-value characteristic of a colony with limited resources is lost. Also leading to too much ore availability already in first chapter.
Expectation: Ore should be treated as an limited item during trade, not taken from the money pool.
Steps to reproduce:
Go into trade mode with any merchant.
Additional Info:
Screenshot showing trade window where items are instantly sold, not swapped/traded.

As potential side effect of the above, I observed that NPCs that knock the player down will no longer take ore from the player. I assume ore is referenced as an item that does not exist in that form due to the ore pool principle from GII.
Game:
Gothic I
