Description
I bought a Dell laptop from walmart new for about 700 bucks, and I paid 400 for the dell 3 year extended warranty. I have had my laptop for 7 months, and one morning, I turn it on, and it tells me no bootable files. Dell's warranty tells me that it's third-party software and that I would have to pay 300 bucks to replace the hard drive. Are there ways around this and fixing it myself, or do I have to just buy a new hard drive? I am not paying that, and really, Dell should be taking that up with walmart but unfortunalty they want it to come out of my pocket, so I told them to send my laptop back to me. I will still have the same problem telling me no bootable files. Dell told me thatWalmartt changed their software and wiped it out. Any solutions to this problem?
