[BUG] Connection with TUMonline verification failing (due to missing android permissions?) #1514

Description
Setting up the initial token connection with TUMonline failed. I could fix the issue by manually granting all permissions in my phone's settings for the app, but I was never directly prompted from inside the app.

To Reproduce

  1. Install app and open for the first time.
  2. Tap on "Connect to TUMonline" and follow the verification process:
    2.1 Enter TUM ID
    2.2 Go to TUMonline and activate the token and grant access rights
    2.3 Tap on "Next"
    2.4 Tap on "Go to TUM Campus App"
    => A promt with "Verification process failed" pops up

Expected behavior
The verification process should be completed instead of failing and if missing app permissions are reason, the user should be prompted automatically.

Smartphone

  • Phone: Samsung Galaxy S7
  • OS version: Android 12 (unofficial Pixelexperience)
  • Language: English

Additional context
Maybe I just faced this issue because I use an unofficial custom ROM for Android 12. However, I do not have another Android 12 phone to verify this. Also I am not sure if the missing permissions were the reason for the verification failing, at least that is what fixed the problem for me.
