As a curator, I would like a controlled form to update the PDAC of a dataset so we can track custody over time.
When the PDAC (a researcher Entity) is changed, this needs to be recorded in a metadata field that records the chain of custody over time.
Likely a custom form will be required (perhaps in a separate app?) to ensure that the custody metadata are recorded in a regular, machine-readable fashion that would be hard to do with free human input.
Update: Consensus seems to be building on the idea of leveraging the existing "Manage Relationships" form on when editing the entities. We would put hooks on the backend to record the eperson, action, and time whenever a relationship between PDAC and Dataset is edited and append to a metadata value. Suggesting dc.description.chainOfCustody
