We're in the process of designing the UI for the GPT Dungeon Master, an interactive application aimed at providing a dynamic and responsive Dungeon Master experience for tabletop RPGs. A critical part of this UI is the various menus through which users will navigate and interact with the application. Below is a proposed list of menus that need to be implemented, along with a brief description of each.

  • Main Menu #94

    • The primary navigation hub upon starting the application.
    • Options include "Start New Campaign," "Continue Existing Campaign," "Rules Lookup," "Settings," and "Quit."
  • Start New Campaign:

    • Option to create a new campaign, including setting the campaign name, theme, difficulty level, and other initial parameters.
    • Character creation or selection, where players can create new characters or choose from pre-made ones.
    • World setting – a brief description of the starting point of the campaign, initial plot setup, etc.
  • Continue Existing Campaign:

    • List of saved campaigns that players can continue.
    • Information displayed about each campaign (e.g., last played, hours played, name opf campagin, etc.) to help players choose which one to continue.
  • Campaign Overview #96

    • Campaign Summary:
    • Character Overview:
    • Quest Log
    • Game World Map
    • Inventory
    • Campaign Journal
    • Return to Game
  • Rules Lookup Menu:

    • A searchable database or list of game rules.
    • Users can quickly find and reference rules during gameplay.
  • Settings Menu #95

    • Allows users to customize their gameplay experience.
    • Includes settings for audio, display, difficulty, and other preferences.
  • In-Game Menu:

    • Accessed during active campaigns.
    • Options might include "Return to Game", "Settings," and "Main Menu.", "rules lookup"

It would be cool if the game stars with the horizon and zooms into the castle, and at the door the logo of the game shows before the main menu is shown
