Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Yes, this feature request is related to the problem of users having to visit multiple websites to read reviews about a product. This can be time-consuming and inconvenient, as users have to manually search for and compile information from different sources to make an informed decision.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to have a browser extension that aggregates reviews from multiple reputable e-commerce and review sites (such as Amazon, eBay, Best Buy, Yelp, etc.) for a given product. The extension should provide a consolidated view of all the reviews in one place, with the ability to filter by rating, date, and source. Additionally, it should display an overall rating summary and highlight common themes or sentiments from the reviews.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Manual Compilation: Manually searching for reviews on various websites and compiling them in a document. This is time-consuming and not efficient.
Single Source Reviews: Relying on reviews from a single website. This might not provide a comprehensive view, as different websites may have different user bases and review qualities.
Third-Party Review Aggregator Websites: Using websites that already aggregate reviews. However, these may not integrate seamlessly into the browsing experience and may not cover all desired sites.
Additional context
A browser extension that aggregates reviews will save users time and provide a more comprehensive overview of product feedback. It could also include features like sentiment analysis to quickly gauge the overall opinion about a product. Screenshots of aggregated reviews, highlighting common sentiments and a summary of ratings from different sources, would be helpful.
What problem is this feature trying to solve?
The feature is trying to solve the problem of inefficiently gathering and comparing product reviews from multiple websites. It aims to provide a streamlined and convenient way for users to access comprehensive review information without having to visit multiple sources.
How do we know when the feature is complete?
