Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Sometimes, when watching videos, users may want to adjust the playback speed according to their preferences or needs. This could be to speed up slow-paced content or slow down fast-paced content for better comprehension.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like to have a video speed controller feature added to the video player interface. This controller should allow users to adjust the playback speed of the video to values like 0.5x, 0.75x, 1x (normal speed), 1.25x, 1.5x, and 2x. Additionally, it should have buttons or sliders for convenient adjustment, and the chosen speed should be reflected in real-time as the video plays.
Describe alternatives you've considered
One alternative could be integrating keyboard shortcuts for adjusting the playback speed, but a visible controller directly on the video player interface would likely provide a more user-friendly experience.
Additional context
This feature would greatly enhance user experience, especially for educational platforms, language learning sites, or any content where users may want to control the pace of playback.
What problem is this feature trying to solve?
This feature aims to provide users with more control over their video watching experience by allowing them to adjust the playback speed according to their preferences or needs.
How do we know when the feature is complete?
The feature can be considered complete when a user can seamlessly adjust the playback speed of a video using the provided controller, with smooth transitions between different speed settings and accurate reflection of the chosen speed in real-time playback. Additionally, user feedback and adoption rates could indicate the success and completeness of the feature.
