If you cannot open the Command Palette, your ST setup is either fundamentally broken or you're doing something wrong. Is the issue that the palette doesn't open at all or that Package Control isn't working? Does the palette open if you use the menu, i.e. Tools > Command Palette…? Do you see errors in the Console? (View > Show Console) |
That said, you can install PD manually by cloning it into your Packages folder, for example, but you'll have a hard time using it properly if the Command Palette isn't working for you and if Package Control isn't working, you'd also need to manually install PD's dependencies, which I certainly don't recommend as it's quite cumbersome. So, we should focus on getting it to work The Proper Way. |
I was able to get the command palette open after all, but now I get this error. I'm typing Install Package Control into the command palette in the Windows Terminal using the dropdown next to the new tab button if that helps. [error 2147942402 (0x80070002) when launching `Install Package Control'] |
I have no idea how the "Windows Terminal" has any relevance here. Could you provide a screen recording? Just to be sure, you are trying to install the PackageDev package for the Sublime Text text editor? |
My mistake. I realize that I was trying to install Package Control instead of this. I don't know of any avenue to get help from the creator of Package Control so I'll just close this. |
no matter what i do, who i talk to, what i install or where i ask, neither i nor anyone else on this planet can get the command palette open. is there any way to just install this without the command palette? where would i put the source code files?
