Doesn't launch anymore (PlayStore versions only shows the loading screen)

The app doesn't work anymore. It only shows the loading screen (the grey one with the loading circle at the bottom) but never finishes loading. The version in F-Droid still works.

I already tried quitting the app and then going to the system settings to give it permissions to read all contacts, the call log, the phone and microphone. I'm using the NetGuard firewall. A problem is that when you have the version in F-Droid installed, PlayStore still updates the app except if you uncheck automatic updates for the app. If you updated it or let playstore automatically update it, one needs to first uninstall it and then install it again from FDroid.
