Can't Backup #59
Comments
I'm not sure if it's the same case for you or not, but it looks like the app is hard-coded to check for 'userdata.vhdx' but apparently there are situations where this can get renamed as 'userdata.2.vhdx' as it is on my computer. (once again, not sure why) The dev may want to code the app to check for any userdata*.vhdx files instead of just the one specific filename. -Tyler |
Hi Tyler, I'm glad to receive your comment. I also discovered this situation recently when reading the WSABuils guide, so I was wondering if the WSA is essentially a virtual machine and I can backup it by manually copying the userdata.2.vhdx file. I don't know if you have tried this method.Fayoo |
Yes you can make a backup like you described. -Tyler |
Apparently things have changed and this needs a fix, yeah. Thanks for reporting! |
and where should be the file? i've seen that it may be the userdata.vhdx file and it needs rename but where i find it? |
i found it! |
Hi, when I attempted to use WSATools for backup, I encountered the error shown in the screenshot below.
I would like to know the cause of this issue and if there are any solutions available. It's important to note that this error occurred on my work computer, and it could be related to administrator privileges.
