How active is this project currently?

I see a lot of issues being posted but not a lot of responses. Can we count on the Dawn theme being developed further or has it slowed down or stopped altogether?

I believe they're going to release a new theme based on nested block achitecture. Hopefully for Dawn they can put someone in place to keep it going, but time will tell.

For now there using a dev store and getting a theme from the Horizon themes catalog in order to build customized themes for merchants https://themes.shopify.com/collections/horizon-themes
https://themes.shopify.com/themes/horizon/styles/horizon
To build onto of for store-publishing or public repos it's uncertain 🤷‍♂️
No info on any of those will be source-available on github, which would be a bit odd with dawn not getting theme-blocks etc (closed example pull code) .
Though no github repo for these themes might be a blessing against the abyss of generated broken code the shopify-magic feature is gonna flood the ecosystem and support channels with.

@jonpennington thanks for the reminder there's another convo floating around here in one of these repos about needing a new first party skeleton since YEARS ago when the OS2.0 architecture came out. edit: found it. #3372 (Developer-friendly starter theme discussion)
