I haven't heard of this issue before. Though considering how many other people are complaining about it on the workshop item, including complaints about not being able to place them on servers, I reckon this is an issue with the workshop mod.

If you get an error message in console when you do try to place the objects from that mod, feel free to send them here. Though it is unlikely there is anything I can do if this is a workshop item issue.
