Soothing Systems

A meditative game experience meant to focus on breathing and movement.

Usage

Visit the site at {future link}.

For development

Local development setup

  1. Install Node.js: link.
  2. Install nodemon: npm install nodemon -g
  3. Pull the repo and run npm i inside the new folder
  4. Run nodemon webserver.js to start the development server
  5. It will be running on localhost:3000 by default

Setup with docker

  • To start the local dev server run docker-compose up --build

  • To build the container for production run docker build . -t yoga-app

    • Note: if using HTTPS, fullchain.pem and privkey.pem must be supplied in the docker container, which can be done using volumes.

Example commands to pull and reload

Stop the running server:

sudo docker stop server && sudo docker rm server

Pull from git:

git pull

Build the new image:

sudo docker build -t soothe .

Run the image (example from server):

sudo docker run -v {path to private key on server}:{path to privkey in container} -v {path to fullchain.pem on server}:{path to cert.pem in container} -d -t -p 443:443 -p 80:80 --name server soothe

Start the container:

sudo docker container start server

Reading logs:

sudo docker logs -f server
