Sometimes it's very useful to be able to write out keyboard shortcuts. Like for example:

cycling through windows from the same application can be done on windows/Linux via <kbd> Alt </kbd> + <kbd> ` </kbd>

As you can see the marked up keyboard key looking icons are nice for conveying intent.
