Didn't have the chance to look into the details of this change and its implications.
However, they are also introducing a few new services specifically tailored towards researchers: FORT. On a first glance, the FORT API does not offer the Node endpoint which we use to access URL objects directly. Instead, we would have to search for posts and aggregate the engagement on our end.
Second however, I've also come across this dataset that has been created in collaboration with Facebook. Shared URLs on Facebook and related engagement counts & statistics.
I hope that these changes don't affect the collector as the one endpoint we access through the Graph API could remain the same.
