Bug Description

The extension is crazy slow, and hogs the entirety of the device CPU just being idle. I'm not entirely sure why this is.

All of these processes appear to be related to this extension.

This occurs as soon as I click on the extension to open it in VSCode,. After about a minute it calms down, but as soon as I click on anything it ramps back up to 100% utilization, just for this extension. Clicking on any settings will cause a spike in CPU utilization and that setting may take 20-60 seconds to actually open

Hello @douglasg14b. Thanks for sharing this. I am aware of a performance issue in the extension that is caused by having to read and write to vscode’s storage constantly (likely related to #174). I will be addressing this very soon.
