I'm trying for the first time to create tracks that are MIDI only, in other words, Audio is set to 'Disabled' and MIDI is checked during track setup, with the thought that this will be more efficient for Shoopdaloop. However, when I do this, grabbing doesn't seem to work.
e.g.
set my record cycles to 2 measures
get my sync loop going
then play some notes on the MIDI keyboard
then use the grab action
and I get nothing. I can press play on that track, and nothing happens. In contrast, if I have a track that has both audio ("Stereo" perhaps) and MIDI checked, and do the same thing, the grab action works, and I get my MIDI loop. I'm assuming it's more CPU intensive to have a track with both audio and MIDI, so my thought is that this should also work, and should be lighter on resources, with a loop that is MIDI only.
Is this a bug, or am I misunderstanding something about Shoopdaloop?
Thank you!
