  • the component can modify pod manifest to override image source
  • it will be nice, if component can add imagePullSecrets (optionally) part from his settings (if in cluster are used repositories caches without any credentials and credentials are added over time, for transition time, this will be good function to hold all affected workloads working)

If this idea isnt good, please, explain why and close the issue.
