Description

Feature Request: Direct Audio File Recording Support (e.g. .aac)

Description:
I would like to request the ability to directly record audio to standalone audio files through AVPro Movie Capture. This would enhance workflow efficiency and eliminate the need to purchase additional plugins for audio recording.

Requested Functionality:

  • Direct recording to common audio formats like .aac and .flac
  • Support for OS-native audio codecs
  • Option to save audio separately from video capture

Benefits:

  • Cost savings: Eliminates the need to purchase separate plugins audio recording
  • Streamlined workflow for audio-only recording needs
  • Reduced post-processing time
  • Smaller file sizes when only audio is needed

Technical Context:
Since AVPro Movie Capture already supports various audio codecs, this feature would build upon existing codec implementation.

Use Case:
This would be particularly useful for scenarios where only the audio track is needed, avoiding unnecessary video data capture and storage, while also providing a more cost-effective solution within a single plugin.
