As you say,

"The Xilinx converters rely heavily on format definitions contained in bal_xilinx/configs. The methodology used to create these JSON files will be published shortly."

Now, I want to try other FPGAs, Can you describe the methodology in brief ?
look forward to your reply. thx.

Which family of FPGAs are you looking for?

Thanks for your reply.
I have a xilinx fpga development board on hand, which is spartan-6 6slx16. Can you create the configs of this fpga? It would be better if you can provide tools. : )

Not trying to hijack, but I was wondering if 7 series chips can be supported (specifically XA7A35T), The *_fdri.json seems pretty straight forward, but the other files required seem like they can be generated from the package file or derived from other docs. If you guide me how you made them, I'm more than happy to write a script.
