Linking Discord id with RDS id

Had a discussion with @ankushdharkar in the morning 5:30 am IST on 13 January 2023

We discussed the flow of the link between rds and cfw

• we need a mechanism to verify that the calls are made from CFW
  • once we make sure of this we won't have to rely on the generation of a private key for each user
  • Since it is going to be an HTTPS call so we are assuming it to be safe and encrypted

Steps involved

• user types in /verify
• CFW generates a token and discord id and sends it to the backend
• backend has a collection that saves this data
• and the user is returned with a URL my.realdevsquad.com/link/?token=<token_saved_in_Backend>
• the user clicks on the link
• since we are using my site if the user is not logged in we can ask them to log in
• The logged-in user visits the site after logging in
• now my site has access to the token and rds id of the user
• we run a query to find the token and discord id in the collection we mentioned above
• we then call up on a patch call that will update the users collection and save the discord id in it.
