The current documentation states

Distribution Publisher Identifier

Optional

Globally unique string that identifies the Distribution Publisher.

Values for this field are taken from the FDC-GDMT ontology. You may [use BioPortal to search for values for this field](https://bioportal.bioontology.org/ontologies/FDC-GDMT/?p=classes&conceptid=http://vocab.fairdatacollective.org/gdmt/IdentifierScheme).

[GRID](https://www.grid.ac/) | [ISNI](https://isni.org/) | [LinkedIn ID](https://www.linkedin.com/) | [ORCiD](https://orcid.org/) | [ResearcherID](http://www.researcherid.com/) | [ROR](https://ror.org/) | [Scopus](https://www.scopus.com/)

The values for this field are IRIs and not values from this controlled value set.

This is a mistake. The last two sentences are referring to the style of identifier, not to the identifier itself, so they would belong to a Distribution Publisher Identifier Type (if that still exists), not the Identifier.

(if that still exists), not the Identifier.

It does. Looks like a copy and paste error into this field
