I'm not really a math person but I played around with this fora few hours and I don't think this is correct.

It happens on classic and new and with different temperature units. When using multiple units It should be converting all units to a standard unit (kelvin?) then doing the math and giving the results in either all chosen units separately or in just the one unit chosen in preferences, right?

Also I don't get why I cant type a formula into the calculator without stopping after every operator/ect. and selecting it from a pop up drop down menu. When I type "five times 2" or "five times two" I get an answer of "0" I know typing like that into google usually gets an answer. So the app seems like it would be great, if it was more user friendly. Maybe offer a dumbed down version with extra features that would break higher functionality or something? I love editing the calculator with text going back changing things ect but it's not really function for me in the current state. It is really good though.

I assume that you've selected "Absolute" temperature calculation mode. This means that all temperature units are converted to Kelvin before calculation. The default mode would have returned 202 °C (= 475.15 K). I do not understand why you type the quantity after the unit, but in this case it makes no difference.

Also I don't get why I cant type a formula into the calculator without stopping after every operator/ect. and selecting it from a pop up drop down menu.

You can continue typing without selecting anything in the completion menu. The menu is intended to make it easier to enter functions, variables, and units with names/symbols you do not know/remember or which are to long to be entered efficiently otherwise.

In the context menu of the expression field, or in preferences, you can add delay to the completion menu, which is enabled by default in qalculate-qt ("new"), change how many letters you need to type before the menu is shown, or disable it completely.

When I type "five times 2" or "five times two" I get an answer of "0" I know typing like that into google usually gets an answer.

Typing numbers using letters is not supported. The displayed parsed expression and the error message should make this more or less obvious.
