We have directories like talks/ which contain Markdown versions of all the abstracts (one file per talk), but some schedule items still link to content/abstracts.rst.
Would it be better to remove content/abstracts.rst, in case speakers have modified their abstract in their individual file but not in content/abstracts.rst? In my view it would be simpler just to remove content/abstracts.rst altogether.
This issue is related to PR #100 where I have made these changes to the Science track sessions.

I was hoping we could turn it into a list/index of abstracts, so people can see everything in a different format than the schedule, might be a luxury, if so we also need to put all the plenary bits into their own files.
I've done the plenary bits for the Science track in the PR. I'm not sure about the value of having all the abstracts in one file. I can see how it might be handy, but I can't see how we can deal with that file getting out of sync with the individual ones, that speakers have already edited.
Is wok able to collate all the files into one page? That would be preferable IMO, because we would have the benefit of speakers editing only their own abstract, and the benefit of delegates being able to browse the abstracts.
