Describe the Bug

The cost for CO₂ liquefaction in technology data refers to a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries cost from 2004. The investment cost in the 2030 output file is 16.7226 EUR/t_CO2/h. The Danish Energy Island reports in the data set “Technology Data for Carbon Capture, Transport and Storage” 411 Liquefaction for biogas plant retrofit an investment cost of 1.33 mill €/(tLCO2/h). The Mitsubishi cost seems very low. Are there any reason for not using the cost of the Danish Energy Agency?

I think the reason is that we have not adopted the newer versions (v2 or v3) of the DEA technology catalogue on CCTS. When the values were added, only v1 was available which did not contain CO2 liquefaction assumptions.

Happy to receive a contributions, either by TD to the newer versions (v3) of the technology catalogue, or by substituting the assumptions in manual_inputs.csv from MHI to DEA numbers.
