Paper 2
At this point, you may notice the list of authors for these two papers are quite similar. You will be able to find many of these authors in our next set of papers. In particular, Dr. Shi Zhengli is a recurring name in every single paper we cite from the WIV (which is to be expected - she is a director at the institute).
If I compare the authors from Paper 1 and Paper 2, they are very different. Am I missing something?

And in Paper 3, it says:
Both papers mention the receptor "angiotensin-converting enzyme-2." In Paper 1, WIV took a virus that previous could not bind to ACE2 and modified it slightly to enable it to bind to ACE2 receptors. In Paper 2, *they* synthetically developed a virus that could do the same thing. In paper 2, the first author is not in WIV, 7 out of 9 authors are in USA, WIV is the second to last author, who are they now.

Paper 1:
... Zhengli Shi1,*

Paper 2
... Zhengli-Li Shi 4 ...

it's the same person, just they made an error writing the name. i think it's based on her name being both wrote as Shi Zheng-Li and Shi Zengli.

Paper 2 is in nature, and Shi Zengli is said to have wrote that nature article elsewhere

" In Paper 2, they synthetically" the experiments where done across multiple places, WIV too
