Since we're moving to a new place and will hopefully get more people interested, it could be a good idea to rethink the renting system.

My proposal is this:

  • new members will pay 200€ for a fixed desk (everything else follows in proportion)
  • current members of the cowork (pre-renters) can rent the new space in advance and will pay the normal 160€ for the fixed desk, until they skip 2 months of renting
  • to make people feel like they can rely on progressbar, we can ensure that all renters will still have their own place after a month, if they chose to take it. If they don't renew within 2 weeks of renting, they'll need to join the possible waiting list

I think these changes would greatly help us have a better idea of how many spaces will be occupied, therefore what our budget is, while also incentivizing current members to move to the new space and keep coming back, while also not feeling pushed thanks to the 1 month of flexibility, and new ones to not feel the stress of unreliability that other coworks give.

These rules would help, but as @yangwao pointed out, members can be put off by needing to remember them, so we should make them simpler.

The good news is that new members will not need to be told about the arrangement with current members, and everything else is something that I can keep track of and remind them about (1 month skip and the 2 weeks of reliability).

Do these rules seem ok? Should we tweak some numbers? How can we make them simpler?
