I am using GeoIP rules in PowerDNS with around 5 locations and largely it's working great. My rules have LUA records for pickclosest and ifportup for basic heath check.
However there are few specific cases where while geographically locations are close, latency wise it's bad as there is no connection. E.g India and Pakistan. As of now I see Pakistani IPs getting routed to my Indian nodes (and I get that based on GeoIP data) but Pakistan has better latency with EU instead of India as traffic anyway routes via EU (or Singapore).
Is there's a way to over-ride default rule to cover these specific cases while keeping the pickclosest on remaining replies?
Thanks in advance!
