Custom component to use my personal API

Hi,
Is there a way to create a custom component, for example in razor, that consume my personal API to receive data from an external DB and show the result set in a table, in order to insert anyway in the Pages created in Piranha cms?

I have read all docs, about Blocks, vue component, etc. but I’m to much new in piranha word to understend the best practices to create my personal component.
