Another one: update your preprint after each round of revisions.

Also, I talked with @mattcieslak about figure licensing, and we might not need to mint DOIs for our figures at this point. I recalled old conversations on Twitter about scientists having to ask publishers for permission to use figures from their own papers in other papers or presentations, but that issue may have been broadly solved via preprints in the last few years.
