Option to change mining speed of trees based on block count or height ?

I looked in the configs for an option to change the mining speed for trees but there seems to be no such option. So my question is, if there is such an option and i just didnt look close enough or is there no such thing ?
If yes how is this option called ? And if no is there any plan to add such option.
I think it would make chopping down large trees much more immersive.

This feature was originally in the mod but was temporarily removed in favor of better performance, i will add it back later.

Ok thats nice to know. Saw this feature some time ago in some videos and thought something on my end was broken.
