Steps to reproduce:

  • download and installed Peerplays Core GUI v0.1.7
  • logged in, created an account
  • network connection dropped
  • Now the app will not re-connect
  • trying the close button doesn't work
  • Force Quick is the only way to quit

workaround / hack is:

  1. [09:22 PM] bobinson@air 🖖 [~/Library]rm -rfv Application\ Support/Peerplays\ Core/
  2. [09:22 PM] bobinson@air 🖖 [~/Library]rm -rfv Saved\ Application\ State/com.peerplays.bookie.savedState

I've had the same exact issue on Windows 10 Pro for months now and can't find a solution. The circle just spins for hours. I've allowed the app through the Windows Defender Firewall. I've tried running it as an administrator. I've un-installed and reinstalled multiple times. Peerplays-Core_0.1.7 is installed. Nothing seems to help.

@bman52 : We are working on this issue internally. For the following is the work around

The following is a workaround:

Manually delete user/AppData/Roaming/Peerplays Core as it doesn’t delete after you uninstall.

Once the wallet is closed and then re-opened it's possible to log back in.

Note that we are migrating the repos and the new location is https://github.com/peerplays-network/peerplays-core-gui
