The idea in the latest versions of the firmware is that you override the USB IDs in order to make the two devices look different, and then games have a better chance of keeping things consistent. The removed player number add-on never worked that well anyway.

0.7.11 removed the Player Number add-on for XInput mode. I have systems with 2 or 4 controllers plugged in at all times. In the absence of a dedicated add-on to enforce controller numbers, how can I ensure that assigned controller numbers for multiple GP2040-CE devices in Windows do not change across reboots in versions after 0.7.10?
