Description
In OpenNebula 6.10 installed on stock >Debian 12< it's not possible to use VNC console in Sunstone (Passenger + Apache) as it returns 500s.

In Apache logs:

App 24905 output: 2024-08-09 10:31:42 - NoMethodError - undefined method `[]' for nil:NilClass
App 24905 output:
App 24905 output:             :logos_conf => $conf[:locals][:logos_conf],
App 24905 output:                                          ^^^^^^^^^^^^^:
App 24905 output: 	/usr/lib/one/sunstone/sunstone-server.rb:821:in `block in <top (required)>'

To Reproduce
Deploy OpenNebula 6.10 on Debian 12. I used Apache + Passenger, but I suspect without those I'd see similar problem.

Expected behavior
VNC console works.

Details

  • Affected Component: Sunstone
  • Hypervisor: KVM
  • Version: 6.10

Additional context

  1. VNC access from FireEdge worked just fine.
  2. Identical cluster installed from the same release / package set on Ubuntu 24.04 does not show this issue.
