Hi Paul, thanks. imho ... in a perfect world it should not rely on the devs. Its up to "you", the users, to keep it running ... I made +260 commits this year. I cant count it in hours how much time i spent for OM. I dont run any business - nor an OM-shop (for years). For years i am doing that for fun. But i cant afford anything by doing things "For fun". For 2026 i'd need
... i have to stop here and shift my focus towards me. I really love that project, but much more i'd love to have a doggie again. In short, i need to get paid for my work. |

Colin Mollenhour in May mentioned;
"might be a good opportunity for some OpenMage devs to figure a way to monetize OpenMage a bit..."
This is not related to that EU topic, but, it got me thinking that the work you guys do should be rewarded somehow.
In brief; it may be that OpenMage could be adjusted/adapted to offer monetised sub stores, not, I hasten to add, for the devs, but as a tool for new small business owners to create a small business (like the very big; Wix or Squarespace);
For example, Openmage the master store issues sub-admin rights to a store limited to 50 products, customer order payments accepted using PayPal registered to that sub-admin, with emails directed to sub-admin also.
I know I am being very very general in my ideas, I was just throwing out an idea.
Disclaimer: I don't need/want this feature :-)
Feel free to delete this topic, I won't be offended. I see how much work you do and I wanted to offer some ideas (I am not a programmer!)
Regards, Paul
