There is no 'global' method do determine height in a building without barometric sensors. Outdoors positioning systems use GPS information or even the known terrain at a certain position, but this is not possible inside a building.
An alternative is to use alternative data to determine the floor, such as inaccurate mathematical positioning with access points or beacons to simply determine the most likely floor. But this is relative positioning to a floor, rather than the absolute detection of the height.
Since barometers are not available in all mobile phones, does openHPS have any functionality to calculate height using other information?
