Open-Shell Configuration Help Needed

Does anyone have a well tested working config file (for import) into Open Shell they will share? I'm not computer tech savvy. I made several changes in the advanced menus I thought would improve usability, then all programs disappeared from the first screen. I opened and closed several programs but no programs show up so that screen remains blank. Has anyone come across a user guide that discusses what all the different options do? Any help will be appreciated.
