Issue

The issue I am facing is that I am unable to set the type of the shape fill. Additionally, even if I were able to change the fill type, I would like to set it to a picture or texture.

I am attaching the document that explains the use case:

Hi, @anmirza

Thanks for reaching out! Currently, the information provided is a bit limited, making it difficult for us to clearly identify or reproduce your issue.

To better assist you, could you please provide additional details following the issue template, particularly:

  • Which specific Office app you're experiencing this issue with (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel)?
  • The platform you're experiencing this issue on (e.g., Web, Windows, Mac).
  • A clear description of the repro steps, expected vs. actual behavior.
  • A minimal demo project or Script Lab snippet demonstrating the issue would be very helpful.

Thanks for your cooperation—we look forward to resolving this quickly for you!

Best,

Hi, @anmirza

Oh, got it! You're saying the Office JavaScript API doesn't currently support this functionality.

If that's the case, we track Office Add-in feature requests on our Microsoft 365 Developer Platform Ideas Forum. You can check if someone else has already requested this feature. If not, feel free to submit your request there! Feature requests on are considered when we go through our planning process.

Thanks
