specie is not a word

Turns out that the singular of "species" is "species".

Proposed course of action is to correct the spelling in the axis label, raise a deprecation message in future minor release, and remove "specie" in the far future (if there is ever a v3).

Happy birthday to this issue. On second thoughts, while specie isn't a word, in code readability world it is useful to have a different singular and plural e.g.

for specie in species:
    print(specie)

therefore, propose keeping things as they are. TODO: Make a note in the docs
