[17.0] fs_storage: check connection fails if directory_path is defined #410

It appears that when directory_path is used to define a subdirectory within the root storage file (filestore/db/storage), the new _check_connection test fails because the subdirectory does not exist until a file is created in it. This occurs whether using marker_file or ls.
