Proposal: OpenAI Shadcn — neutral floating-panel Desktop theme

Proposal

I built and published a standalone Hermes Desktop theme/plugin:

It provides a premium neutral/zinc light+dark palette plus a clean floating-panel treatment for the existing Desktop layout tree: opaque sidebar/workspace/tool zones, 8px gutters, 14–16px radii, a restrained composer shadow, aligned controls, and shadcn-style menus/popovers.

Why propose it here

The Desktop Plugin SDK documents contributed themes, but the companion examples currently focus on Python/dashboard surfaces and theme editors. This is a directly installable, user-facing Desktop theme that demonstrates what a polished disk plugin can do without patching Hermes core.

Safety / compatibility

• The palette is contributed through THEMES_AREA.
• Layout CSS is gated by data-hermes-theme="openai-shadcn", so changing themes removes it immediately.
• The real pane tree remains authoritative: resize, collapse, drag, sessions, profiles, registered gateways, Local/VPS, Files, Terminal, and Review keep their built-in behavior.
• No secrets, backend code, or core files.
• MIT licensed.

Question for maintainers

Would you prefer this as:

1. a full example directory in this repository,
2. a smaller theme-only reference plus a link to the full plugin, or
3. an entry in a community theme/plugin gallery?

I can prepare the PR in whichever shape best fits the repository's single-surface / size guidance.
