Bt connection failures more often now

Hi. I have recently stopped using the FSL2 patched app with xDrip as it stopped working with my new batch of FSL 2 + sensors.
I have switched over to OOP2 from 2025/6 and xDrip from 2025/6. I have taken control of an already started sensor which works. However, whilst my Samsung S21 Android 11 phone always had BT connection issues a few times a week, this new set up has broken connections a few times a day.
Does anyone have any suggestions for some tweaking which could resolve the issue. I didn't mind lost connections now and again, but a few times a day is really annoying: especially at night.

Even though it says 'disconnected I've been getting readings all afternoon. Still getting them now. Thanks for your time

It can conect and drop after getting a reading I suppose, sitting "disconnected" in the mean time. My non-Samsung phone doesn't have "Polling mode" on that display. Were there no gaps at all in the values (OOP2 screen shows the last 10 or search xDrip+ error/event log for "Creating" to see 1 minute values arriving.

I switched on the BT status screen and for a second it said connected. But then changed to disconnected. But I have had no disconnections since yesterday when I found out that OOP2 was battery optimised I've disabled that and since then no disconnections. xDrip seems to be complaining about something but itz saying itz coping with it

The only thing in my BT settings is I have not checked is 'Trust auto connect'. I was told not to check that in samsung phones. Will it break anything if I check it? Also 'Bluetooth wakelocks' is checked in your settings itz unchecked. I'm working tonight so I may be very delayed in replying. Cheers kwisJ

Samsung does seem to require a different set of settings. Patrick had a QR code for Samsungs on his former site.

I think with any of these settings it's worth trying the alternative option if you aren't getting reception. It is a little more difficult to test the 4 combinations of two parameters and so on.

After finding that my OOP2 was battery optimised, I removed that, and so far, no disconnections since yesterday at about 2 pm. I also had librelink app connected to another FSL2+ sensor that I was wearing, which I stopped. Now itz 10 am where I live, and so far so good

I'm sorry, but I'm not technical. All I can say is what worked for me. In the end what was the problem was OOP2 was battery optimised. I removed that and so far everything is working. Thankyou PhilTu for offering suggestions. I have a samsung S21 with Android 11. OOP2 from 2025/6 and xDrip from 2025/6. I found this was helpful in regards to battery optimisation.
