Can we expect a stable release soon, so the Libre users that assure me they are on the latest release have a version that works ? We had one about a year ago as well as in early May - is it done at regular intervals? |

You will not read comments from me on Facebook as frankly I never go near the place. You will see posts from me on here though documenting my own issues with current versions of Libre 2+ and compatibility with Xdrip+. My own woes came about a couple of weeks ago and I did post on here. @PhilTU suggested that I was using an old version of Xdrip+ and an old version of OOP2 which did appear to be the case. I duly updated to the latest versions of both and while this did offer a partial fix, the recurring issues I experienced with connection losses are well documented. I have run with September, July and June releases of Xdrip+ and have encountered frequent connection losses with all of them. Currently I am running with a July release as this one appears to be giving me fewer issues. I am still dropping connections an awful lot and cannot figure out why as they appear to be completely random. |

@Diabeticliberty Your problems matter and we would like to address them. This thread has a very important purpose. Please help us. When you post in a thread and bring up your problems, that are not really the subject of the thread, it is not the best practice. |

I am always mindful of the fact that any and all people involved with Xdrip+ do so with absolute zero financial gain. It would therefore be incredibly arrogant and extremely ungrateful of me to try to contradict you and that was not the intention of my post. The fact is though that for the last 10 days or so I have experienced issues with Xdrip+ and Libre that I have never encountered before. I have tried everything within my limited capabilities to try and rectify matters with only very limited success. the post that @PhilTU authored seemed to align with the issues that I am experiencing. If you are suggesting that these issues are unrelated then I of course accept what you are saying. Please understand that I feel that I have exhausted all other possibilities with the exception of course that there are changes in sensors which I don't think any of us can affect. |

Navid's point is that this thread should just be about the matter I raised in the orginal ie the timing of the stable release. Otherwise every thread becomes about everything. You are right to raise performance issues on threads about performance, or to start new ones about connectivity, but this isn't the best place. By the way my replacement 301 arrived this morning. |

I did not really see the 2 issues as unrelated at the time which is why I replied. I do however take the point from both of you about threads becoming unwieldy if every Joe Soap just chips in with tat replies. As regards your new sensor I hope things work better for you than my own. Having said this my current sensor expires tomorrow. I think I might go back to fingerpricks and visual BM testing. Naahhhh just joking. |

If we're happy with the current nightly then it should move to the alpha channel. Are there any issues or things in early testing that we should be concerned about right now? |

I started running with it after you posted this morning. Everything looks good for me and no dropped connections. To say I am happy would be grossly understating things. Once again thank you for everything you do.

I have been using the current Nightly (my compile) and have seen nothing wrong. I have been monitoring facebook and these discussions and am not aware of any issues specific to the current Nightly. |

Okay the 5th September release is now the new alpha channel release and if everything continues to go smoothly I will promote it to beta/stable channel. |

@jamorham Most users have no idea what the update channels are. They tap on check for update and claim that they are using the latest release when in fact they are using the beta channel, which is the default. Considering the alpha channel only provides about 2 updates a year, the same as beta, why don't we make the alpha channel the default?
