Possible to control the Nintendo 64?

I was wondering if its possible to control the n64?, the code below is basically what I think is needed to send the deets to the n64. However, once connected to the n64, the game I am using does not detect a controller... I based the code off the.... Gamecube examples and then changed it around to fit the N64.

You definitely want N64Controller.read(); to be inside your main loop so it updates the controller data each time.

Since you omitted some code it's hard to tell if something else is wrong. For instance I have to assume you're reading the pins correctly and assigning them to pinA etc before you use d.report.a = pinA;.

Maybe you could start a serial monitor link to a computer and just confirm that you are reading the controller data correctly. It might help narrow down if it is a wiring issue, a controller issue, or an N64 issue.

Thanks for the reply.

I thought the N64Controller.read(); would be in the void setup section as it was for the GC examples. The code below is what I have now and when I wire it to the N64, the N64 says it can not detect a controller. I feel like theres something I forgot to put in but I can not put my finger on it.
