One thing to note is that in this version TOWGS84 is deprecated. TOWGS84 is currently the only workaround I am aware of in ProjNET for performing datum transformations that libraries based on newer versions of Proj do seamlessly. I believe a prerequisite is to first migrate away from Proj4 #89

I also noticed that WKT2 / PROJCRS is not supported yet. Is this work in progress? Also noticed the GPL license in the current WKT1 reader / tokenizer.

Can I help in any way?

I do have some experience with tokenizers/parsers and also with Parser Combinators like: https://github.com/benjamin-hodgson/Pidgin

Is this stil something you/we want in this library?

It actually hasn't started yet. As @pchilds pointed out this involves a rewrite of the current library to match the new object structure/hierarchy.
