[Bug] Backup of apps with huge appdata keeps on restarting or running forever over RSAF #1013

Guidelines

  • I have read the FAQ and it doesn't cover the issue.
  • I have searched the issue tracker for open and closed issues that are similar to the feature request I want to file, without success.
  • I'm on the latest version.
  • I'm not using a test build (alpha/beta/release-candidate).
  • This issue contains only one bug.

Describe the bug

  1. Mount a FTP share via RSAF.
  2. Set the backup directory in NeoBackup on that share.
  3. Choose an app with a lot of appdata (like Whatsapp or Signal) and start a backup.

Expected Behavior

The backup should finish, but I've been encountering either constant restarts (basically the process restarts multiple times, resulting in multiple backup folders, each with corrupted and unfinished appdata) or a backup process sort of stuck and restarting after it's finished.

The latter looks like this in the log of NeoBackup (initial run started at 13:32, then keeps on going with a new folder at 14:12), s. attachment
