Hello,
I am trying to do a POD study for external flows simulated using NEK5000. I am got to know about NEK-ROM. I am quite confused about the setup, hence I have few question related to the library.
What is the output from the compilation of NEKROM code ?
Does QOI stand for "Quite Ok Image" and what does the frequency of QOI dump mean ?
Can the output be read using Python or MATLAB ?
Is the ROM Drag different from normal Drag computed in NEK5000 ?
Thank you for the answers and sorry for using the Issue section for the questions.
Thanks,
Gaurav

@kent0 and @Ping-Hsuan, can probably describe it better than I can, but I'll take a stab at answering a few. Compiling the NekROM code creates a ROM binary that can be executed with Nek5000 as well as several files like a .mor file that contain model parameters. QOI stands for "Quantity of Interest". The output of the ROM is similar to that of Nek5000, including files to enable visualization with Visit/Paraview and a logfile. The cyl example is probably the best developed case for starting out at this point. Most of our informal discussions are on the NekROM Slack channel.
