I was prompted to update to Super.Human.Installer Development v0.10.4 today (I'm not sure when I last updated). I found that the icons did not display after the update:

I am testing on macOS Ventura (13.6.7).

Is this related to this update? I don't currently remember how the development releases are working - the update chain I checked had not been updated since 2023.

@JoelProminic Can't reproduce this on my macOS Sequoia 15.2 (24C101). What is your version of macOS? It should be fixed in #127
@rat-moonshine can you install 0.10.4 and report back if you have such problems ?

I installed on macOS Sequoia (macOS version shouldn't be a matter if application packaging is alright) and I couldn't able to reproduce missing icon problem:

On Windows v0.10.4, it is also looks correct.

I am testing on macOS Ventura (13.6.7). For #127, I see there was a delay when loading assets, but in my case, I see the icons are still not loaded when I checked the running application after the weekend. I don't see any obvious errors in the log.

I manually updated to v0.10.5, but I see the same behavior:

This also makes the settings page unusable:

@JoelProminic Can you please go to Applications -> SuperHumanInstallerDev - Show Package Contenst -> Contents -> Resources -> assets -> images - let me know if you are seeing images there.

I do see files here. Notice that most of them are nested under "common":

A silly question, but have you ever build from source code SHI ?

Not that I remember, but I can go through the instructions in the README or GitHub Actions if needed. If you are worried about old files being included in my application install, I can do a fresh install.

Well the weird things happened when I have in my build directory SHI compiled, SHI installed. When you are in Spotlight Search what do you see ?

Ah, I haven't had to deal with that issue recently, but that is a good idea to check. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be the problem in this case, though:

 % ps -ef | grep SuperHumanInstallerDev.app

What if you remove complete SHI and install it - did you try that approach ?
